Cannabis seeds: all about legal aspects of planting and growing seeds

Cannabis seeds, as well as marijuana seeds, do not contain any narcotic, psychotropic or other prohibited substances. Cannabis seeds for collecting purposes are advised to be stored in a cool, dark and dry place. Marijuana seeds producers recommend for that purpose tightly sealable containers and temperatures in the range of 3-8 degrees Celsius. For this purpose, any household refrigerator will suffice. It is much better and more practical to have a refrigerator just for the purpose of storing a collection of cannabis seeds. Ideally, adapt the size of the refrigerator to the size of the cannabis seed collection. For the time being, the seeds are not legal for germination, cultivation and processing as such. The sale, purchase and ownership of these seeds, however, is legal and thus does not violate any applicable law in the Czech Republic.

Growing cannabis seeds law

This is a citation of part of the amendment to the Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances Act from the end of 2021, which changes the original law as follows:
1. In § 2, letter a) the legal prescription reads:
"(A) addictive substances, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances of natural or synthetic origin, which have psychoactive effects and are listed in one of the Annexes no. 1 to 7 of the Government Decree on the list of addictive substances, with the exception of the substance cannabis extract and tincture, which contains a maximum of 1% of tetrahydrocannabinol substance and meets the safety condition under the General Product Safety Act,".
